Serve your Tribe without Being too Salesy
Ok, so I agree, being a salesperson is super annoying sometimes. And even though I’m a sales associate and sell other people’s products, I still dislike the fact I have to be pushy because that company requires me to hit a certain goal.
Adding those skills online can be difficult for someone who doesn’t know how to approach their target market.
The first thing you should focus on is Be different from everyone else.
The reason you’re not attracting the right customer is because you’re not being Specific at all. You’re probably saying, “My right target is Women”. Ok? What’s that mean, though?
The easiest way to being specific is kind of like online dating. You’re looking for a tall man with green eyes, dark skin, muscular, age between 30-40, country guy and family oriented.
See, now that’s a little better. Figure out who is it that you’re speaking to.
Send your peeps to the Freemium.
It’s important that you send your people to the freemium. This is what they call, lead magnet. Send them to a place where they’ll receive a gift from you. I mean who doesn’t want freebies? Stop dragging people from one social media to the other. I’ve seen that and it’s super annoying, now that would be totally salesy.
You can start a relationship with your people and from that social media platform, you can drive traffic to your freemium. But you have to find exactly who you’re looking for and with time you’ll start getting more lifers.
My bonus for you:
Another way you can find your lifers is going to where they like to hang out the most. It could be on Instagram. Research some hashtags and see what’s poppin’ on there. Find what they’re liking and where they’re leaving comments at. Boom, how you like me now.;-)
Set goals and continue to refine and repeat your idea until you get it right.
Marketing is always changing and needs to be refined and repeated constantly.
The last thing would be What’s in it for your peeps.
Once they sign up ask yourself this, “Do you have exquisite value for them”.
Your product or service may be great but are you finding a solution to a problem they currently have? Are you giving them something they must have?
Serving your peeps with a webinar, audio, or email. Whatever you have for them let them choose for themselves. Make it special and unique. Don’t be like everyone else, doing what they’re doing.
Listen to your gut feeling, most likely to be your intuition. Decide what’s comfortable for you because once you do, everything will flow naturally. It will make you look genuine, sincere and now it’ll start showing that you’re honest and the sales will automatically start showing up. How awesome!!
Yesss. Spend time mastering your craft. This way you won’t be so salesy and you’ll be serving your tribe and increasing your money flow.
