How many actually say they are going to do something about talking to people, getting them started in their business and their words are actually bigger than their actions?
I know I have done that before. About two years ago, I was this super introvert person who was super afraid of speaking to anyone. It didn’t matter who it was, whether it was my next door neighbor or my hairstylist, I would just cringe because I didn’t know what to say to them.
In reality, it doesn’t matter what you do whether it is in Real Estate, Network Marketing, Designing or whatever else, you can’t just get pumped for a day and not do a damn thing about changing your business, I mean unless you are just trying the product. It requires more than just talk.
One of my favorite sayings is “You cannot continue to cry about having a lot on your plate when you specifically said eating was your goal”. True?
I found out it takes asking questions and getting to know people on a deeper level. Getting to know their strengths and weaknesses. All of this requires asking a few questions with the right usage of words.
After educating myself. I simply learned the easiest way to learn other people is to become a chameleon. Become who they are and they will actually like you and trust you. Once they trust you, you can sell them just about anything they enjoy.
Let’s say you are part of a group who sells X,Y, and Z and you ask “Hey I am just curious, but did you like what I showed you?”. They can simply say yeah, I want to make some money. But you don’t know WHY.!
This is where you should be diggin’ a little more because there’s a difference about diggin’ for information and acting like this is an investigating. Don’t get these confused because people can smell it just like a dog smells fear.
I thought about some questions you can use:
Would you be open to a little extra money that wouldn’t interfere with what you’re currently doing?
Have you ever wanted to work from home and spend most of the time with your family?
Do you ever get that feeling you were supposed to do more than just work for someone?
Are you sick and tired of struggling and not moving a foot ahead from your current situation?
If you could work from wherever, what would your dream job be?
These are just a few of the questions I have used and they seemed to work, but you have to tweek them to where you are comfortable.
Don’t be disappointed, everything takes consistency and patience. Otherwise, you are spinning wheels and I can understand the feeling because that is where I was. Take your time and practice with someone especially if you are new to this. The best way to practice is by doing rather than talking. Remember that learning new tips can help you beat ignorance and no one wants to stay ignorant. Keep learning and growing my friend.
