3 Ways to Stand Out in 2020

In this blog post, I’ll share with you the top 3 ways to stand out in 2020 so that you can build the life and business of your wildest dreams.

First, let me say… most people make promises/goals at the beginning of the year, but never end up sticking with them… Plus, “busyness” and limiting beliefs keep them from truly experiencing what they call a “successful” life.

So how about we go a little deeper and see what changes are necessary so you can experience more of what you truly want?

Posting for the heck of posting will get you nowhere.

Mindfulness

I regret not using Meditation enough. This is key to pushing your life + business forward.

Setting space to set some intentions and spending time focusing on my breathing is one habit I’m creating to find inner peace, clarity and of course to stand out above the crowd.

You can practice instructing the mind to remain quiet for the duration of your session, this will help you connect with your inner source and get into alignment.

Give yourself space your mind will start to wonder but give it some time and it will slowly come to concentration.

Visualization

How important is it to visualize daily?

Per some sources visualizing is very powerful and it is proven to refine your image and help you with changes in your life. It also helps you to recognize what resources you’ll need throughout the day and most importantly reach your goals.

You also create inner motivation and it gives you the power of positive thinking but how do you do it?

Well the same way you would as if you were meditating but instead you’ll visualize and dream just let your imagination do the work. Pay attention to the way you feel, what emotions are coming up for you? Are you feeling happy? Excited? Intrigued?

Here’s what golfer Jack Nicklaus said about visualizing:

“I never hit a shot, not even in practice, without having a very sharp in-focus picture of it in my head. It’s like a color movie. First, I “see” where I want it to finish, nice and white and sitting high on the bright green grass. Then the scene quickly changes, and I “see” the ball going there: its path, trajectory, and shape, even its behavior on landing. Then there’s a sort of fade out, and the next scene shows me making the kind of swing that will turn the precious images into reality.”

How amazing is this? So, to give you some good hope, yes you got this, chic.

Consistency

I realized last year, I wasn’t posting enough on my main platforms. I lacked a lot of consistency.

Consistency is the bread and butter of your business.

Posting daily or weekly can be a gift and it’s important that you do this often. Batch as much as you can and take 3-5 hours a week to do this. The more consistent you are the quicker you come up with a system to do it faster and more efficiently.

Batching also helps if you’re working your 9-5 because it forces you to set aside 2-4 hours of your time and split your time in intervals of two hours each.

Now, it doesn’t matter if you choose social media platforms or your blog. Find a place that you feels good to you and start from there. The key is to find a channel that works best for you and your needs!

New Year, New You

I do have to say from experience… Blogging can be tough… especially if you’re starting out. There are so many moving pieces like creating graphics, creating content, doing research, adding links, becoming an affiliate, etc. For your website, I do recommend you use squarespace  because they have everything set up and it’s so easy to use! I never used it because I started out with WordPress and now I’m stuck with it lol but I do recommend you definitely start with squarespace if you’re all about simplicity!

Also, if you’re just starting out with blogging, make sure that you don’t just post a blog post and let it sit there hoping people are going to automatically come in and check it out. No, you MUST and I mean this, share your blog posts across your main social media platforms that you currently use so that you can gain more visibility.

The other thing too, if you’re new to blogging… do your best to share content that resonates with your audience, meaning find a niche that you’re obsessed with. For example, if you’re into health and wellness, share how to’s, tips, advice, information that have helped you fix specific problems so you can start helping your now “new audience”.

I didn’t realize that until I was about 9 months in of blogging and what I found is that the more action you take the more clear you get, the more consistent you get and that’s exactly what you want if you want to create profitable results.

Now, when it comes to social media. A good balance depends on you! Months ago it used to be that you had to post this “x” amount of posts so that it looked like you were the go to person but…. Now, I tell people that they get to choose, whether it’s 3 or 5 posts… What matters is that you show up. So if you say you’re going to show up 3 times a week then do exactly that.

At the end of the day, consistency looks different to everyone. And the most important thing about it is that you find a balance that works with you and not against you!

BTW… If you are looking to gain more visibility using social media, I’ve got a great post about it here:
